About StreetSmart

StreetSmart South Africa launched its fundraising initiative in South Africa in 2005. The initiative is based on the similar concept called StreetSmart UK that was started back in 1998. The original founders then gave the go-ahead to have it started in South Africa.

StreetSmart South Africa raises funds for street children programmes and the funds go towards the reunification of families and education programmes for street children, as well as for children at risk of potentially becoming street children. These programmes are put in place to help uplift and benefit vulnerable children and make their livelihoods more viable in society.
